Mind if I butt in momentarily? I looked for many years for our gg grandfather. I checked cemetery records for "all" the cemeteries in Randolph County. He wasn't there. I checked with the historical society in RC too - "not there", I was told. Then I happened to accidentally find Huntsville and the cemetery there. Within five minutes, I had found him, his wife and two of their children - clearly marked. If at all possible do a visual or get someone to do that for you. Another gg grandmother was missing for a number of years - no one claims to have handled the burial or have records of her in any of the Delaware Cnty cemeteries. Then I checked into the courthouse and saw the death record - they not only had a lot of information on her but told me what cemetery she is buried in - Mt. Pleasant (Yorktown). However, the cemetery doesn't have her recorded because of some really bad record keeping. Point is - don't give up and don't always trust records or the lack thereof.
