IT appears that the Cropper line started in VA/MD with John Cropper 1st and his wife, Gartrude Bowman. I believe they produced three children before John left Accomac/Northampton Co. VA and went to Somerset Co. MD with the widow Rhoda Fasset. He had several children with Rhoda who went by the name Cropper although John stayed legally married to Gartrude. John died in 1668. His descendants settled in Eastern Shore area for several generations. In 1800s, some of his descendants moved to KY. This includes Laben Cropper and wife Jane, several of their grown children with spouses. They settled first around Bourbon Co. and later moved to Lewis Co. KY
