You're right, Andrea, I misspoke. It was the Health Department I called. We get those papers from the County Clerk and Recorder here and I forgot it's different there. Rex, I was thinking I'd need to look at the actual book to make sure the next record was Clevenger and a page was skipped. The Health Department did send me a handwritten info sheet of John Chandler's death record years ago and it showed no parents for John, which was why I decided to check with them again after I saw the posting with his parents on it. I certainly wish it was correct but am pretty certain it's wrong. I got excited right away and sent out inquiries about Sarah Mullin and got a message back from Rita Elkin and she was talking about her ancestors, Andrew Clevenger and Sarah Mullin, and that's when I figured out what might have happened regarding the transcription.
