    3. Frances, Steubenville was located in that area at one time. There is a Memorial on Highway 1 just past Highway 28, with maps of the town, cemetery and bridges along with a bit of history. http://www.rootsweb.com/~inrandol/Green/Steubenville/scindex.htm There were three different wooden bridges. The last one was taken down I believe in the 1960's? It was replaced with a steel bridge when the highway was straightened. I am not sure if one of the wooden bridges ever caught on fire. Hope this helps, Gina Richardson INGenWeb County Coordinator Delaware County IN http://www.rootsweb.com/~indelawa/ Randolph County IN http://www.rootsweb.com/~inrandol/ Rootsweb Admin.
