Thank you for your response. For about 15 years now, I have been trying to learn the parents/siblings for 'my' William Clark born 1844 IN, married Susan Leach in 1863; died in 1876 in Alto, Howard Co. IN. My first thought was James Clark's son William, but I soon learned that he was still alive and in Randolph Co in 1880. Since James lived so near the parents of my Susan Leach, I still suspect there is some relationship involved, but I haven't found it. I have no information on Rubin Clark and Ruth Jackson-is this your line? Do you know where Rubin and Ruth were in 1850 or 1860? Parents of James Clark were Rubin Clark and Ruth Jackson. I do not have record of the siblings of James Clark nor of his grandparents on either side - but certainly would be interested in information about them.
