My ancestors are Platt, Robbins, Davis, Derevage, Keys, Glover, and more, most in Washington and Greensfork Twps. Most have births prior to 1882 when birth records were officially filed. Is there a possibility that births were listed in the newspapers of the county prior to 1882? Are there any other sources of births if cemetery tombstones list only birth year? Thanks for your help!
