Gina, I looked it up on Merriam-Webster online dictionary and it says that a rod is a measurement of weight. I thought it was a measurement of length but am unable to get anything on that as yet. I've emailed my dad - he was an engineer and is a genius at those terms. If you don't find it before he answers...
