    2. Andrea
    3. Hello all, Interesting to know that many of my pictures are still available on-line at Flicker, I just cannot work on them or add, since I cannot pay for their services, it's pretty stiff cost. But you can look and down load any that you want. Click on a picture, and get to the biggest size to download that you can so you can have a better zoom and cropping for your records. Andrea http://www.flickr.com/photos/9841506@N08/ shows 3 of my old albums. Happy to see that they are mostly still there, even though some are archived and not found in my photo albums the way I had put them, some you will have to wade through other with the same tags or search finds, but look for my name sharlongancestors, those are mine. My old camera pictures start their titles as DSCF#### my current camera start their titles as IMG_#####. Andrew and Mary Ellen went to Minnesota. I think Andrew died there, perhaps in Todd County, in late 1860s. Mary Ellen Cole and her family can be found in the 1870 census lving in Long Prarie, Todd County, Minnesota - Mary Ellen is listed as head of household. At some point, Mary Ellen moved to Wright County, Minnesota, where she remarried, becoming the second wife of my GGGgrandfather, William Lawrence Dygert. Her son, Samuel H., married William Lawrence's daughter, Martha Phyammy Dygert. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. 3. In 1910 census of Randolph CO IN there is an Owen Canfield 69 born in NY living on 4th St. in Ridgeville. He was a boarder in the home of Samuel (look like Curdy or Curly ). He was in the Union army, and work doing odd job. In the 1880 census there were an Orrin Canfield living in Shelby NY he was 39. In the 1900 NY census there were a Orrin Canfield living in Livingston , he was 78 , the other Orrin was 60 and lived in Carlton. Have you check out the records for the soldiers in the Civil War. Hope this help.

    3. Yes, I checked the Civil War Records, that's how I came up with an Orrin Canfield dying in Ridgeville, IN. I'm pretty sure the records are incorrect. My Orrin Canfield is the one in the 1880 census in Shelby and in 1900 in Carlton with a new wife. Thanks for the information about the 1910 census, I'll have to take a look at it myself. -----Original Message----- From: inrandol-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:inrandol-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Alice Huffman Sent: Wednesday, May 14, 2008 4:41 PM To: INRANDOL-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [INRANDOL] canfield In 1910 census of Randolph CO IN there is an Owen Canfield 69 born in NY living on 4th St. in Ridgeville. 3. I did not find Orrin Canfield in the Ridgeville Newspaper index, nor did I find him in the Winchester Democrat Obit Collection (1900-1935). That July 1919 time period is missing in the microfilm collection as well at the Winchester Library. While there I looked through the 1908 RCI directory, no Canfields listed anywhere. I looked through 1919 and 1920 student lists for Franklin and Ward Townships and Ridgeville, for any Canfield with no results there either. The only other thing I can think of to prove or disprove this Orrin for you, is the Union City Newspaper, which often covered Ridgeville items or even checking the newspapers of Portland (Jay County). 3. An obit might shed some light for you. There was a Ridgeville newspaper during this time period. I have an index somewhere here, I will look to see if there was one, you can then request a copy from the Indiana State Library, as there is only one microfilm copy in the Ridgeville Library, but no way to make a copy of it. I will also try to look for one in the Winchester Papers one night this coming week on my way home from work. The papers were really good usually to note any soldier's death, and their war info. So hopefully we can answer your question. Andrea

Canfield - Ridgeville Indiana An obit might shed some light for you. 1. [INRANDOL] Orrin S. Canfield - Ridgeville Indiana
    2. Dave and Maureen
    3. I am looking for information on Orrin S. Canfield, born NY approximately 1841 to parents, Dennis Canfield and Clarissa Forbes. Orrin was last found on the 1900 census in Carlton, NY with his 2nd wife of 2 months, Frankie and grandson Francis. Orrin's first wife was Alzina Harrington. The only other record after the census that I could find was his pension card from the Civil War that stated he died in Ridgeville, IN on July 11, 1919. I sent for his death certificate which stated that his wife was Polly Ann Canfield and his date of birth was 1834. The informant for his death was a Wes Canfield of Ridgeville. I really think that the information listed on his pension card is for another Orrin S. Canfield. Can anyone shed some light? Thank you, Maureen Sausen Lincoln, CA

Fields, Alexander, and Poorman lines! I have a Martin Fields, who married a lady named Irene. His parents were Charles Fields and Mary Ellen Alexander. Mary Ellen is a sister to my g-grandfather Ora Alexander. There used to be regular Fields/Alexander/Key reunions near Union City, IN. In that group was Mary Polly Bragg who married Larkin Key.
