    3. Fielden Orlando Clevenger, b. 1854 in Randolph Co., IN; d. 1909 in Randolph Co. He resided 1894 in Nettle Creek Twp., Randolph Co. (see Bowen, Randolph County, Indiana, portrait and biographical record, 1894). He appears in the 1860 and 1870 censuses. His parents were William B. Clevenger and Mary Jane Smithson. Fielden married Ida E. Armint (1858-1926). Both Fielden and Ida are buried in Union Cem., Randolph Co., IN. The 1880 census of Randolph County lists a Fielden N. 3. The son, Walter C. Shaw served as a Justice of the Peace, listed in the 1877-78 Union City Directory, he served in Monroe Township term expires May 1, 1879. So this Pleasant Hill that she was a member of was different than the Pleasant Hill north of Union City on 800 East, at the Jay County Line? Andrea PS he also sold hardware in Farmland, according to the same directory. A

    3. The Farmland Enterprise, January 29, 1904 Obituary Rebecca P. (Smith) Shaw was born on Cape Cod, near Wellfleet, Mass, August 27, 1824. She was the oldest of her father's family of eight children - one boy and seven girls. A sister is the only one of the family yet living. The subject of this obituary was married to Reuben C. Shaw on May 9, 1847 (in Massachusetts). She departed from her earthly life January 23, 1904, at 3:15 o'clock a. m. Her age was 79 years, 6 months and 27 days. She was the mother of five children - three sons and two daughters. The three sons and one daughter are yet living and present today and mourn in a sence (sic) as they never have before. In about 1868 she joined the M. E. Church at Pleasant Hill. Some years later this church disbanded and the membership scattered. Mother Shaw did not put her membership with any denomination but always belonged to the great body of Christians of which Christ is the leader. From Tucker's History of Randolph Co, 1888. page 511, a Biography of Reuben C. Shaw: In 1855 he and his wife and eldest son moved west to Randolph County. His farm was located a mile north of Farmland and he was a carpenter by trade and also skilled at architectural drawing. Their five children were all living in 1888 and were: Walter C., the eldest son, served one year during the late War as a member of the second Indiana Battery. He married Eliza J. Macy, and now conducts a farm near his father's. Sylvera B. married Hamilton L. Penery; Josephine W. married Oliver H. Warren; Frank L. married Emma Macy; and Frederick P. married Ella C. Friar. (On May 8, 1897 the couple celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.) The burial place is unknown by this researcher for this couple.

    3. Indiana Deaths, 1882-1920 about Ruthford B. Clevenger Name: Ruthford B. Clevenger Date: 10 Mar 1919 Location: Muncie Age: 42 yr Gender: Male Race: White Source Location: City Health Office, Muncie Source Notes: The source of this record is the book CH-10 on page 82 within the series produced by the Indiana Works Progress Administration. I can not find Ruthford or Ida in 1910 census either, Ida is listed as Ruthford closest relative, not married then. Might be more info on Clessie's 2nd marriage application/liscense about first marriage, as it would have to be declared, and reason for marriage ending. 3. Norman, My gg-grandfather Larkin Mullen and wife Martha Beard had a daughter Sarah who married Andrew W. ("Dock") Clevenger and they are buried in Maxville Cemetery, Farmland IN. Sarah and Dock had 3 children: Martha Clevenger b. 1875(married a Hutchins), Sylvester Clevenger b. 1867 married Anna Younce and Charles Clevenger b. 1871 married Mayne Gamster. This is information written by a great aunt Sylvia Morris when she was 102 years old, and I have not checked it out; I'm only guessing at the handwriting, and some of it comes from another Mullen related to Clevengers through the surname Wood, but the given name Fieldon has never come up. I also have a note that the Winchester Journal of 17 Jun 1885 reported the granting of a divorce and $300 alimony to the plaintiff, in Clevenger vs. Clevenger. Don't know if any of this is helpful to you. Rita > Does anyone have any information Fieldon O. Clevenger, born August > 19, 1854 In Randolph County, IN and died October 20, 1909. He married > Ida E.
