Daniel is my gr-gr-gr-grandfather. I have been to his grave in New Lisbon Cemetery before! They had 7 children: - Norman * my ancestor* (b. 9 Mar 1842, Randolph Co, Indiana, d. 7 Sep 1918, Union City, Randolph Co, Indiana) - Peter L. (b. 10 Dec 1842, Indiana, d. 10 May 1863) - Sarah A. Oct 1864) - Martha Mary Jane (b. 12 May 1852, Indiana, d. ??) Daniel's parents are John Adam (b. 19 May 1762, Frederick, Frederick Co, Maryland, d. 28 Jan 1838, Montgomery Co, Ohio) and Elizabeth Kahlmenin Coleman (b. 12 Jul 1769, d. 5 May 1862, m. 12 Feb 1788). They had 10 children including Daniel. I only have dates for 7 of them, though. - Peter (b. 20 Jul 1789, Middletown, Frederick Co, Maryland, d. ??) - Elizabeth (b. 7 Aug 1790, d. 29 Jan 1867) - Jacob (b. 12 Mar 1792, Maryland, d. 26 Jan 1871) - John (b. 1798, d. ??) - Daniel E. (b. 16 Oct 1804, Maryland, d. 25 Apr 1881, Jackson Twp, Randolph Co, Indiana) - Adam ( b. 1812, d. 1885) - Joseph - Mary Ann - Rebecca (*I believe these last three were born after the family had moved to Dayton, Ohio) I've gathered most of my information on the Coblentz family from the book The Coblentz Family in America, 1743-1982 compiled by Ruth Coblentz. However, this book belongs to my mother and I don't have easy access to it. This means I can't differentiate between the facts from the book (which I really trust as accurate) and the facts I've added from Ancestry.com (which I sometimes trust). I hope all of this is helpful. If you have any other questions, please let me know. The book traced this Coblentz line all the way back to Germany. 1. [INRANDOL] Soda Hill
    2. Yes, I've heard of "Sody Hill". My mother grew up there, lived there until she was fourteen. It is just on south edge of Farmland and to the east off of Hwy 1. I could take you there but have trouble describing it! I know that the road you turn on is near a restored Victorian house on Hwy 1 It's just an area a short distance off of Hwy 1 where the road gets a little hilly and a few houses are on the north side of the road and a couple of farms on the south side. Probably starts less than half a mile off of Hwy 1. The last time I was there I didn't see any marker at the actual area on the road identifying it as Soda Hill. I just know it because Mom has shown it to me in the past. The White River is south of the farms on that road. Mom tells of my grandmother sending Mom and her sisters across the road, through a cow pasture to the river, with a bar of soap to take their baths in the river! Hope this helps. I'll try to think of a better description! Haven't been there for three or four years. Dianna ************** Plan your next getaway with AOL Travel. Check out Today's Hot 5 Travel Deals! Some visitors came to the museum today, and were talking about some signs on 32 and 1 that pointed out Soda Hill and there was a sign at the area. The lady who was talking said she remember people talking about it when she was a young lady. Monisa had never heard of it. I'd never heard of it, anyone out there on the list???? Andrea
