I don't know if this is permanent or if he is just filling in for her. But either way, someone there should be able to help you. And BTW you leave those kittens alone. And no I am not taking any of them in! I already have 4 cats. And if anyone else hears anything about the Historical Museum let me know. If Monisa is no longer the contact person I will need to update the contact information on the website. Gina

    2. unicorn1945
    3. I'm looking for any connection to John S. Martin. He shows up in the 1880 census for Jay County with first wife, Margaret (???) and two sons, Leonidas, 16 and William, 14. Margaret disappears from the picture because he marries my Eliza E. Patterson Sept 4, 1889 in Randolph County. John was a shoemaker in Portland. I don't know if Eliza and John had children or when John or Eliza died. I do know that in later censuses, Eliza's mother, Jane Patterson lives with her daughter on Water St. in Portland and Eliza is listed as a widow. I'd love to connect with anyone in this line. 2. Gina, Thanks for fixing the cemetery listings so swiftly and efficiently. How ever do you do all that you do with a job? Mary Jo, Thanks for transcribing the cemeteries. Please don't feel like it's a thankless job, because it really is appreciated! The two of you, as well as the others that have helped, have made genealogy a LOT easier for all of us who can't make it to Randolph County. (As well as helping a LOT of people for a LONG time to come do their research!) It's wonderful having the cemetery listings online. And by the way, John Chandler's tombstone really does say Jho (with the h and o raised up above like we do the t and h in 5th), for whatever reason, I don't know??? Maybe to drive me crazy, because he is my proverbial brick wall! 3. I just want to thank Mary Jo, for the transcripts. I know it takes alot of time and effort to do that sort of thing. And it was really no problem to change the name of the cemetery. That was an easy mix up with the two cemeteries. And I want to thank everyone else who caught the mistake and brought it to my attention. Thank you also for being patient with me while I work on the website. And while I fix all the boo boo's that I do <G> And sorry for the mistake on my email address in the taglines. That mistake took almost 3 months for anyone to notice <G> Hmmm I may throw in a mistake once in awhile to keep everyone on their toes! Or when the list gets real quiet just to wake everyone up!!! <G> Everyone have a nice Thanksgiving!!! 3. Shirley, and the rest of the list, That is exactly what I am wanting. I tried to get out to all the cemeteries and take photos. But didn't get to all of them. Hopefully we will get some nice weather again so I can try to get some more photos. I am also trying to get some more transcripts for the cemeteries. If anyone has some, but don't have the time to type them up, if you can scan them and email them to me, or make copies and send them snail mail I will transcribe and post them. Just contact me off list and I will send you my address. 3. Ok--I sent a note to gina--I transcribed that listing from a very unreadablecopy, so I'm sure there are name and date errors, I did the best I could! At any rate, the document from which i transcribed it was sent to me as: Windsor Cemetery, it does, however have a title that indicates it is Union Cemetery, located two miles south of Windsor, Indiana. It is very unclear from what I have whether the burials listed in Tucker's book are or are not included. It further states that is is located in Section 5 Town 20 Range 12 of Randolph county. My files are named Union Cemetery, Windsor, so I don't know for sure what I called it when I submitted it. Hopefully, this will clear up any confusion.
