I am researching the CADWALLADER family, specifically JOSEPH, who was born in Virginia perhaps around 1802. His sons, ABNER and EZRA, twins, were born in Centerville, Indiana in 1842. I suspect this family traveled from Ohio to Indiana for a brief time and then returned to Ohio. My JOSEPH may have been a brother of the ABNER tha is found in many Indiana records. Any help would be gladly appreciated! Carol Morgan
Sabrina, You have done a great job on Arba, I saw all the information you have contributed to the Find A Grave website. I linked that page to the Randolph County page. I have had several people ask about individual photos of tombstones, and saw what you have done on that site. I thought it was a great place to share information. I haven't added my photos to it yet, is it fairly easy to upload the photos??? Dear Gina, My great-grandfather, Thomas Ozro PIERCE, born in 1843 to Thomas A. PIERCE and Lydia WARD PIERCE, (early settlers in Randolph County, Indiana). Thomas Ozro married Sarah WELCH, born in 1846 to William and Elizabeth WHITESELL PIERCE; Thomas O. and Sarah mar. on Nov. 2, 1864. I understand a township was named for a brother of Lydia WARD PIERCE; his name was Joab WARD, I believe. The Ward and Whitesell families were also early settlers. Thomas A. and Lydia PIERCE had 10 children in Randolph county on their homestead 3 miles east of Winchester, Indiana. Thomas Ozro and Sarah (Ward) PIERCE moved to Iowa about 1866 and eventually went on to Missouri, and on to California, where they are buried at Altadena. Thomas was a carpenter/builder/contractor. My family line goes from Thomas Ozro Pierce and Sarah (Welch) Pierce, to daughter, Elizabeth Effie Pierce, b. 1872 in Randolph Co; Effie mar. Thomas H. Davis in MO. Their son, Thomas Glenn Davis, b, 1897 in Barton County, Missouri, was my father. My mother, Esther Coles Davis. The Davis family from Ohio and the Coles family came from Ohio and Iowa. Thank you, Gina. Doris L. (Davis) Wolfe

Kaye, I know the feeling <G> I haven't met very many people researching the same families as me yet. But I am hoping if we have roll calls every so often, we will find that connection.
