Rogers - my brick wall is my gg-grandfather Emsley Rogers who shows up in Darke Co. Ohio for his marriage in 1835 to Nancy Rust/Rush. I cannot find any siblings or parents for Emsley Rogers but I do have information on his descendents. My direct Rogers line came through Randolph Co. into Delaware Co. IN. I have several contradictory pieces of information regarding Emsley's birth place (state/s only). My great grandfather Jabes (Jabis) Rogers lived in Randolph Co. with his wife, Mary Bolinger and both are buried at Woodvale / Maxville cemetery. I would love to share information with anyone directly descended from either Emsley or Jabis Rogers. French Sunday Sommerville Marsha mrmfamily@aol.com

This article was submitted to me by a friend and originally I had taken it to be referring to Howard Co., Indiana, but after further research I have found it to be refering to Howard Co., Maryland. Gina, Thanks for all you have done for the RCI website. You are a blessing to many people. We share the surnames Cox, Puckett, Thornburg, and Mills. I would be happy to share any information I have. Thanks, Karen
Hi Marian, I have nothing on Jesse. We have a Leona M Johnson, b. 3-7-1888 to John Johnson and Penina Nelson. She died 11-29-1968. Leona married Louis Lee Pearson 9-21-1907. All the above were born in Grant County but the families came through Darke (OH) and Randolph (IN) Counties. That's as far back as we've got right now on the Johnson/Nelson line. Were they a part of another Indiana Quaker Meeting House prior to Cherry Grove? > I'd appreciate anyone's help with this. Sharon, Cherry Grove Friends Meeting was set up as a preparative meeting under New Garden Monthly Meeting in 1820. The meeting was laid down in 1949. In 1921 the last meetinghouse was erected. It was sold and moved away soon after the meeting was laid down. The cemetery is well cared for at this time. Austin Cox --- [This E-mail scanned for viruses by Declude Virus]
