I have copies of James H. Rice's Civil War papers because I have a collateral relative by that name. However, these papers are not my relative's. The James H. Rice in the documents was born ca l829, place unknown Charlotte Bean Rice of Quincy was his widow. He was a resident of Cloverdale township when he applied for a pension in l879.
