    3. I recently found my g'g'grandfather in the 1900 Putnam county Census (Cloverdale township). His name was William Fowler and was age 23 at the time. I expected to find him living alone or possibly with his first wife, but instead, I found him living with some people I had never heard of before. Head of household is listed as MOSES VALANDRINGHAM, b. 1841 (age 59), married 9 yrs., b. IN, parents b. KY, farmer. His wife's name was Josie, she was 33, had 2 of 4 children living, and she and both her parents were born in IN. They had two children, David and Lizzie, ages 5 and 3. William Fowler is listed as their nephew, and unmarried. Unless the look-up person just forgot to include it, no occupation is noted. I've been working on my family tree for two years and have never seen this surname before. I tried looking in other Census years and on message boards, etc. and found this name NO WHERE! I had to assume it was misspelled, and started searching under things like VAN LANDINGHAM, VALANDIGHAM, and I even found VALLANDIGHAM and VALLANDRINGHAM, but there's no sign of Moses or Josie anywhere! Does anyone on the list know who these people were, or recognize any of the names, or even have a suggestion for me as to where to look next? I've had a hard time finding William's parents' names, and finding out who this family was might help with that as well. Thanks---Lisa
