I have a copy of the marriage certificate of the above mentioned. They were married 4 Oct 1854 in Putnam Co., IN. There is a possible mistake on the certificate as it was issued 3 Oct 1853 and the certification by the minister states he performed the marriage 4 Oct 1854....my thoughts are he filled this out and filed it after the first of the year and mistakenly put 1854 instead of 1853...just my thoughts. When I got the marriage certificate for my family this one was at the top of the page in the book so I got them both. The Grider/Leaton names are not in my family.
