[now Hardey Co, Va] Isaac Mace vouched for his pension application in 1832. In 1835, John Mace moved to Ohio to be near his sons. In 1837, he was living with son Paul in Athens Co. Ohio. Va Nicholas, Ann, and Henry Mace are mentioned several times according to Jean Seville. Henry Mace released from servitude to David Laird in 1773; he was indentured as a blacksmith. Nicholas was buying land in Augusta Co. in the 1750's. Will for Nicholas to his wife, Anna, dated 1808, witnessed by Elijah and John Willoughby. In 1814, Anna deeded land to Henry and John Mace.
