I have Sarah Thomas in the 1850 Clinton Twp, Putnam Co Census with six McGill children - Harrison b. 1830, David, Mary, Jane, William & Edward. I'm trying to find out the link between her and the children - mother or other relative? I believe she may be the daughter of John Miller, son of Henry Miller of Clinton County. There is a Sarah Miller listed as a grandaughter in a court action dated 1850 in Clinton County. Also listed in the action is a Sarah Miller Magill w. of Cyrus who would be a cousin to this Sarah Thomas. Any insights would be helpful. Any idea where she and the children were by 1860? I don't have the census for that year. Thanks in advance.
