Howsomever, the William K looked so much like mine that I claimed him for many years and did all the research on him. I threw away all the research, when I finally found out that William H was really mine. Both were born in Kentucky at about the same time. William K was born in Madison County, KY and in the 1810 Census he was there with four kids. You will see that My William was in Montgomery with four kids. Spent a long time inGreen Castle as that was where my grandfather was born and I liked the town. > William K's Revolutionary Ancestor was Apollos Cooper who died at Brandywine the first day of the fight. His wife was left with two children a girl and Robert, who was never very findable. Apollos was from Virginia. His wife was named Mary and she married again. > Jacob Reed Cooper (I think Mary's name was Reed) was born in 1774 and died in Greencastle in 1863., his wife was Sarah Hale kenner 1782-1851. Their son was William Kenner Cooper and he married Louise Switzer 1813-88 in Madison County, KY. William was aborn in 1774 and died in Greencastle in 1863. There was a Milton J. Cooper in Indiana, but I don't recall ...yes, he was a son of William and Louise he was born in 1831 and died in 1896. They are all buried. These people were all buried in the big cemetery there, although William was transferredfrom a small one. Louisa is also there. > William became a founder of DePaul University and you could probably get some history there. Hope I have helped you.....WISH SOMEONE WOULD HELP ME!!!!!!!!! > > Mary > > > ==== COOPER Mailing List ==== > YOUR GENEALOGY DATA IS AT RISK--IS YOUR COMPUTER VIRUS-INFECTED? > Free Online Virus Scan: http://housecall.antivirus.com/pc_housecall/ > Viruses, Trojans, and Worms: http://helpdesk.rootsweb.com/virus.html > >
