Hello list , I am sending this note to ask for volunteers who might have a little extra time in there month to do a lookup for someone in whatever area you like . If you have at home resources this would be a great gift to share . I volunteer on RAOGK to do lookups for people . This is a great resource . Random Acts of Genealogical Kindness -- Volunteers Around the World . We cant all travel , all year long to do research . While I do volunteer to do lookups , I still like to reimburse others for their time & costs even though I have not had anyone even ask for recompense for their help-- these people are just so awesome to help like this . Since RAOGK has volunteers all over the world you can see what a great resource this is so lets all help each other & volunteer to do lookups in our area of expertise . You can do this at youre convienience . I try to answer as they come in and not restrict myself to one a month . As long as I dont get bombarded with too many , I usually get them answered pretty fast . BENTON COUNTY , MISSOURI JOHNSON COUNTY , MISSOURI HENRY COUNTY , MISSOURI could use another volunteer for maybe OBIT lookups SHELBY COUNTY , TENNESSEE --> need some more here also ONONDAGA , NEW YORK - have one person signed on for this area I could go on ... If you would like help with tracing youre family tree then please remember it is always appreciated when someone returns a kindness AND if you have a resource you can share and a little extra time to do it -- then consider signing up at RAOGK .
