I've "rescued" an old photograph of Prof. Alma HOLMAN taken at the R.T. Jones Studio in Greencastle, Indiana. The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1870's or 1880's with Alma appearing to be in her teens or 20's at the time. In addition to this photograph I also obtained a photo card of a group of students taken by the J.W. HUSHER Studio in Greencastle, IN. The photograph of the students is noted on the back as "Views of Preps". I have no idea what school they are connected with but I'm assuming it could be either the school Alma attended or since she is referred to as "Professor" it could be a school at which she taught. Based on limited research I believe that this may be a photograph of Alma F. HOLMAN b. 1861 at Putnam Co. Indiana to parents Jesse HOMAN (b. 1835 at Putnam Co. to parents Mark HOMAN & Nancy BURSON) and Elizabeth Minerva WILSON (b. 1839 at Putnam Co.). Alma's siblings included Gracia E.; Fred W.; Carrie M.; Ralph W.; Elsie G.; Thomas B.; and Lucy I. HOLMAN all b. in Putnam Co. I'm hoping to locate someone from her family so that these wonderful old photographs can be returned to the care of family. If you are a member of this family or know someone who might be, please contact me. Thanks, Shelley
