Thank you so much for posting the site http://www.arphax.com/surnames/Arphax_Surnames_Putnam_IN.pdf I went there and if you go down to the 2nd page & go to>> www.arphax.com they have alot of states where you can look for the family name to see if the family was in that area before you buy the book. It will take time because my family moved around but so far I think I have found a couple in different states. Thanks so much for posting those useful sites. Mary
