Hi, My name is Sheri Thompson Raynor, and I have been working on the Thompson Geneaolgy for my family. I have traced from my Grandfather (Fred O Thompson) back to Andrew K Thompson who would be my Great, Great Great Grandfather. I have been doing pretty well as I have found most of his family to be in Jackson, Putnam,Co., Indiana or in the vicinty.............But I have hit a dead end for the last couple of months in being able to go back any futher. I know that Andrew was born in Kentucky in 1818, and moved to Indiana somewhere around 1841, as I found he married Sarah Green Richardson in 1841 in Hendricks Co., Indiana (my Great Great Great Grandmother.), and she also was born in Kentucky. I was able to find 6 children (all born in Indiana) one of them being John Adams Thompson who would be Freds Grandfather. (my Great Great Grandfather. John Adams Thompson married Sarah T Smith and they had two daughters, Eva J Thompson, Lane. and Margaret Ann Thompson Richardson (Maggie)! , my Grandfather Fred O Thompsons Mother. I'm sure this Richardson (spouse) is not related to Sarah Green Richardson. My Grandfather took his Mothers maiden name Thompson, as he was born out of wedlock.... His Grandfather John Andams is on his Birth Certificate as his Father. I am unable to get a birth or death certificate for Andrew K Thompson or Sarah as I just can't find out who their parents were (although Andrews Father is from Pa and his Mother from N J.) I would like to find the siblings also, ( I think mabe one of Andrews could be a Hugh Thompson, born in abt. 1805 in Pa.) I found him in Cloverdale, Putnam Indiana. If you could tell me the best places I could contact for any of this information I would sure be greatful ! I live in Idaho so it is hard for me to travel at this point in my life. I have been going to the LDS church and they have been helpful but suggested I get on the internet to see what help I can find.... Thank you so much for any help you could give me---- Sheri PS.... I did just find where Andrew and Sarah were buried THANKS TO YOUR SITE!!! They were buried in the New Maysville Cemetery (new part, east side) Andrew b. Dec 31,1818 - d.Aug 14 1884 and Sarah b.Feb 26, 1819 - d.Dec 11, 1892.
