The connection is to Absalom Hurst (1821-1848) who married Orlena Dobbs (1824-1890) This family went from Putnam Co to Missouri. abt 1840. Then the Dobbs family and I believe some of the Hursts moved on to Missouri, where Joel died in 1842. Mary (Polly) Langwell, sister of Elizabeth Dobbs, also joined the church in 1830. Polly married a Daniel Smith in Putnam County, Ind. in 1831. Their brother, my g.g. grandfather Hiram C. Langwill married Nancy Walters Brazier in Morgan County, Ind. in 1836 and another brother Thomas Langwill married Elizabeth Gilman in Putnam County c. 1836/37.
