There were some Woodalls in Illinois that I traced back to a John Woodall and his wife Jane from Ky. in census records. I looked at the wedding information I received for John Woodall and Jane Richarson. I had this information as my great, great grandfathers brother and his wife in Putnam Co. But when I saw the information I thought of the Illinois Woodalls first. Bingo. The ages fit. And they came to Putnam Co. from Ky. before 1830, which explains the Ky designation in the census records.
