I am still looking for some information on John C. JEFFRY/JEFRY/JEFFREY, my great grandfather who lived in Bainbridge area most of his life. He died 1899 in Urbana, OHIO, but was buried in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Greencastle. He married Sirrilda Elizabeth LANE 5 Jan 1876, and she later (after his death) moved to Indianapolis where she died 12 Jan 1933 at age 72. My only findings on John is that he first appeared in the 1860 Census of Putnam County, in the home of Aron & Nancy Manford, on a farm owned by William & Mary Foster. He was in the 1880 Census, with wife and one child, my grandfather, Sherman Beecher JEFRY. John stated that he was born in Indiana and that both of his parents were also, but WHO WERE HIS PARENTS?
