Hi everyone, We're safe and dry. I decided not to leave when they did not begin mandatory evacuations. There are basically only two ways out of this town--one by the Hampton Roads Bay Bridge and Tunnel and the other that takes you through small towns on a 2-lane highway towards Richmond. I didn't see any viable options. Oh, there is a third way--across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge and Tunnel which takes you to the DelMarVa peninsula. But that thing is 18 miles long over the Chesapeake Bay and I don't like it on a sunny day. Just wanted you to know we made it okay. Thanks for the prayers and good thoughts. Sharon
