In particular I would like to know of any McNortons in Putnam or Montgomery County in 1865 and 1870. In the 1850 Census, September 9th, George is listed as 8 months old, in Jackson TWP. Putnam County, Indiana. This makes it appear that April 2, is a baptism or christening, not his birth date. In the 1860 (June 1st) census George is listed as 10 Years old in Clarke TWP, Montgomery County, IN. George is in Grasshopper Falls, KS, PO Oskaloosa, in the 1870 Census Robert Leopard
