Herb, Please go to the recorder's office on the second floor of the courthouse. There you will find the index books on microfilm. Check for James Stewart I would recommend looking for a land sale when he left Indiana) and once you find it take the coordinates to the fourth floor to Nancy Clifford in the County Surveyor's office. She can either help you with the location on the county plat maps or will be able to direct you to the proper location for that information.
