    3. Angel, I have a little on Henry P. BAILEY and Susan. {I recommend you contanct the other Landes researcher. I was looking for BAILEY info. Pat Bishop Obrist} Descendants of Henry P. Bailey Generation No. 1 1. HENRY P.1 BAILEY was born Abt. 1809 in VA. He married SUSANNA LANDES1 18 November 1838 in Putnam Co, IN (license). Notes for HENRY P. BAILEY: From: Claudine <claudie808@effingham.net> To: <iobrist@mail.win.org> Date: March 28, 1999 Subject: Bailey I'm not related to Bailey, but in reading for someone else, I noticed a lot of similarities of Henry P. Bailey here in Effingham County, Illinois, to the Baileys you mention in Putnam Co, Ind. This is in the 1910 History of Effingham County, Illinois. I will quote briefly-- William H. Bailey born Jan 18, 1847 in Putnam Co, Ind, son of Henry P. and Susan Landreth Bailey and the grandson of a Revolutionary Soldier who served under Washington and died in Virginia. Henry P was born in VA in 1809 and came with his parents to Ind as a young man, alread a blacksmith. He lived with his mother in Effingham County, Prior to 1839 he returned to Putnam County and married Susan Landreth also a native of Virginia ... someone else has her last name as Landis. There is more on Henry P and his son William and their families etc. If this is of any interest to you, send a SASE and 30cents and I will xerox the pages for you. Apparently lots of people came to Effingham County from Putnam County, my ancestors - Reddings - did.
