    1. Re: Putnam Co LUNSFORD/STORM Cemetery
    2. Jason
    3. I have a book called "Illustrated Historical Atlas of Putnam Co., Indiana 1879" that identifies a Peter Lunsford moved into Marion township in either 1827 or 1828 but he either didn't own any property in 1879 or he moved before the book was published for 1879. There is no cemetery that I can find that shows a cemetery with this name. There is however a two residents called STORM that owned property in Marion township, one is I. Storm and the other is R.G. Storm. Their property is shown just north east of US 40 and Mt. Meridian but no cemetery listed on either of their properties for 1879. The closest cemetery that I could speculate is the one at the Bethel Baptist Church cemetery that is just south east of Fillmore. The church is now actually located on what used to be the property of R.G. Storm and I attended that church with my family while I was growing up in the early 1970's. The Bethel cemetery is located where the church used to be on the opposite corner of the intersection. The church burned down many years earlier and was moved to the other side of the intersection. It is also remotely possible that they were buried in the Fillmore cemetery which is close by. As a matter of fact I have a listing of the Fillmore cemetery that has the following: STORM Rev. Lester C., 1903 - 1943 Lola Pauline, 1909 - Paul C., PhD., 1940 - 1974 but no Lunsford was listed. I do not have a listing of the Bethel cemetery, sorry. To get to the Bethel cemetery, take the road south out of Fillmore town, take the first left at the "T", the road turns 90 degrees to the right and then take the left at the next "T". This will lead you straight to Bethel Baptist Church and the cemetery is right there. If they weren't buried there, around the late 1800's, I don't have any other listings. Good Luck. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Sharon Bryant" <SharonBryant@worldnet.att.net> To: <INPUTNAM-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, November 06, 2000 4:56 PM Subject: Fw: Putnam Co LUNSFORD/STORM Cemetery > Can someone help Ernie?
