He married a Mary E. Pickett in 1870. They lived in Putnam Co. in the 1880 census. She was born there I believe. He was born in Ind. but I am not sure where. They had three children Alva, Dares, and Ocey in the census. Her mother a Mary Pickett lived with them as a boarder. I do not have the name of Mary's father either.
