    3. Dear List, I have an Ambrose DAY. Does anyone know more of him, even his offspring? Thanks, Pat Bishop Obrist Descendants of Ambrose Day Generation No. 1 1. AMBROSE1 DAY was born Abt. 1795 in Kentucky, and died 1864 in Putnam Co, IN. He married JOHANNA MOSS 1816 in Fleming Co., Kentucky, daughter of WILLIAM MOSS and LYDIA GLAS(S)COCK. She was born January 16, 1796 in Mason Co, KY, and died in Putnam Co, IN. Notes for JOHANNA MOSS: According to a letter of Alta Botts to the Missouri Historical Soc. in St. Louis, 1953 : Ambrose and Joanna MOSS DAY came to Putnam County, Indiana in 1829, They were next door neighbors with Joanna's brother, Israel MOSS. In fact Joanna and Israel are buried next to one another in the cemetery. "Joanna and Israel, sister and brother, lived side by side & are buried, side by side, in Old Union Cemetery, land given by Johanna & Ambrose DAY. One of Ambrose DAYS granddaughters rec'd a part of her education in (Univ. of Missouri?) Columbia, MO, & married a Rev. Wright (home now in Calif.) from Biographical Sketches of Putnam County on Isaac Day, son of Joanna Moss Day: p. 489 "Several of his maternal uncles were soldiers in the War of 1812." These would be either: William, Israel, Levi, Vincent, or Daniel. More About JOHANNA MOSS: Burial: Old Union Cemetery, Putnam Co, MO Child of AMBROSE DAY and JOHANNA MOSS is: i. ISAAC MERIAM2 DAY, b.
