    1. 1870 Census - Putnam County, Indiana

    3. Does anyone have access to the 1870 Census for Putnam County, Indiana? I am looking for information on JEREMIAH M. D. COX. Reportedly, he appears on the census in Jackson Township of Putnam County, on page 145. If anyone has any additional details, besides the above, could you let me know what information there is on him and/or those living in his household? Actually, now that I am thinking about it . . . if anyone has any later census years' information, that could be helpful, too. I can't seem to find when this man died or where he is buried. I am trying to narrow down the time frame. He was born in 1810, so he undoubtedly died by 1910. I have seen him and family on the 1840, 1850, and 1860 Censuses in Putnam County, but I don't know for sure how long after 1860 he was living. If he's on the 1870, but not the 1880, then he could have died in between. If he's on the 1880 and not the 1900, then he died between those years. If he's on the 1900, well, then he lived to be a very old man! Any info anyone has from the Censuses of 1870, or 1880, or 1900, could help. BTW, Jeremiah M.D. Cox was my great-great-great-grandfather. His wife was Catherine "Kitty" Herrod Cox. Thanks, Sharon Freeland Superior, Colorado
