Rhonda, Your note about Stallcup caught my eye. Circa 1820, removed to Johnson County Indiana, were Samuel Smith and wife Mary (Martin) Smith, of Lewis County, KY (formerly Mason County, KY). Their children included Eleanor (Smith) Stallcup, wife of William Stallcup, likely part of the Stallcups of Lewis/Mason Co, KY. By the time of the 1850 census, there were no Stallcups in Johnson County. They appear to have moved - to Putnam County, IN, and perhaps elsewhere. The Smith's daughter Alice "Alcy" (Smith) Dean was the wife of Philip Dean. These Dean's remained in Johnson County. Smith is harder to track - their children in Johnson County, IN were - sons John, David, Samuel, Robert, Washington. Daughters Eleanor STALLCUP, Alice (Alcy) DEAN, Rebecca WISHARD, Eliza Ann Smith. I'd be interested in any link this information might result in - especially Martin, Stallcup and Smith. Thank you.
