I have info on Slavens that ended up in Montgomery Co. then Greene Co. and then Dallas co, One of them married an Irene Stanley whose family was from Putnam Co. Many of Slavens men were doctors and during Civil War. 5 of them were near Portland Mills working for the Union army and locals. This included two temporarily moved from Dallas Co MO. Our branch also has a connection with the Greene Co MO Roundtree family Anyone have info on local militia in Putnam Co. during Civil War? JanS
