    3. Hi Debbie, In Putnam County you can write the County Surveyor's Office sending a check for $3.00 and get a nice size map showing roads, cemeteries, etc. for Putnam County. You might try the same process with Owen County's surveyor or check out the INGenWeb page for Owen county. Good luck, Sharon ----- Original Message ----- From: Debbie Carter <tara37@indy.net> To: <INPUTNAM-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, June 18, 1999 1:25 PM Subject: maps > Does anyone know where on the internet I might obtain a copy of a map of > Owen and/or Putnam Counties with the township markings on them? > Or failing that does anyone know of a listing of the townships with > their numbers used by the census for enumeration? > Debbie Carter > > > ==== INPUTNAM Mailing List ==== > Want to make contact with the DePauw University archives? 3. Sharon; I bet a lot of us will be sending for that map! Last weekend we drove all over Jackson Twp looking for cemeteries--and we had nothing but the 1878 Atlas to go by! Thanks for the information. By the way, if anyone is looking for the Russell-McCloud cemetery I'd be glad to give detailed directions. It is not visible from the road and actually took me three trips to find it....and I didnt do that until the fall of the year when the foliage was gone. Kerry Danville
