    3. I am new to this mailing list and thought I would post the family that I am researching. I am trying to locate family of a Benjamin Garl(Ben died 12-12-1957 and he was 80 years old) and a Mary Jane Cole. They supposedly lived in Greencastle. I was told by another family member that Benjamin's father was a John Gorrell that came to Greencastle, Indiana from the County Donegal, Ireland and settled in Greencastle around 1860. John Gorrell married a Margaret Armstrong that also came over from Ireland. I would appreciate whatever information that I can get. Thanks alot! Monica

    1. Love/Baldwin families in Nelson Co.KY, Owen Co.& Putnam Co's in IN...1800's
    2. I'm on a mission......trying to find out who the parents of : Margaret "Peggy" LOVE b. 1800 PA......she married Samuel T. BOLDON/BALDWIN 28 Jun 1818 Nelson Co.KY. Polly "Mary" LOVE b. 1803 TN....she married Thomas BOLDON/BALDWIN 15 Feb 1823 Nelson Co.KY. The husbands of these two girls are brothers and I'm wondering if the girls are sisters or possibly cousins?? Both families migrated to Owen Co.IN and were found on the 1830 census there......Samuel eventually moving to Tipton Co.IN Wildcat Twp.and Thomas to Putnam Co.IN. Cloverdale Twp. There was a John LOVE living next to Samuel T. on the 1830 census......WHO is he?? A brother , a father ?? Must be some relation. John LOVE also moved to Putnam Co.IN on the 1840 census there living next to a Lyman LOVE {mar. to a Mary MOSS.....presumably his son?? This was in Monroe Twp. Also found a Deliah LOVE there married to a MOSS and later to a WELLS. I did find in the family files at Nelson Co.Library a genealogy sheet with Samuel T.'s family on it and it had listed a WILLIAM LOVE as the father of Samuel's wife Margaret?? The person who worked on this paper is deceased, so I can not find out his source......hoping that someone out there will be able to help unravel this LOVE line. All information and suggestions are Welcome! Thanks so much, N.J.Skinner White in MI.....vwhite0901@aol.com

    1. Hicks, Hugh G. (aka N.H. Hicks?)
    2. Philip Naff
    3. Hi, Looking for burial location or data about Hugh G. Hicks, who also may have been referred to as N.H. Hicks. He was born ca. 1857/58 in Harrison Co., Ky., 2nd known child of Andrew Jackson & Elizabeth (Craig) Hicks. He is only one of two brothers who was known to have left Kentucky. He was last known to be living July 6, 1916, the date of death of his half-brother, and he was said to have been living at Washington, Washington Co., Ind. on that date. Brothers of Hugh G. were: Edward Wyatt(e), Alvin, Absalom, Doctor or Richard, Jacob, and Clark B./P. Hicks. No known sisters. Only one Hugh Hicks could be found in 1900 in Indiana . . . in Putnam Co. (With no 1910 Soundex of Ind., this is all I have to go by). I don't believe this to be the same Hugh G. Hicks who was from Harrison Co., Ky., but have included this data should it be of some help in identifying the Hugh G. Hicks I am looking for. 1900 INDIANA SOUNDEX (H200): Vol. 63?, E.D. 81, Page 3?, Line 79? Hicks, Hugh G. White, b. June, 1860, Age 39, b. in Indiana Putnam, Marion Twp. Hicks, Ida M., W, April, 1864, 36, Indiana -- Mary B., D, May, 1890, 10, Indiana -- Nora M., D, Nov., 1891, 8, Indiana -- Jennie B., D, Dec, 1896, 3, Indiana Although he 1900 U.S. Census of Putnam Co., Ind. says that that Hugh G. Hicks was born in Indiana, it may be in error. That there were two men with the identical name at about the same time in Indiana might be more than just coincidence, perhaps they are the one and same? I look forward to hearing any tips, information, etc. Thanks. Philip Naff Indianapolis, Indiana
