Does anyone have a copy of the 1860 mortality index for Putnam County? If so, I would be interested in obtaining a look-up. Thank you Debbie www.sweetowen.net If you look deeply into the palm of your hand, you will see your parents and all generations of your ancestors. All of them are alive in this moment. Hello, I received a notification of a photo album which was purchased at an auction in Owen Co. which contains pictures of Earl Knauer and his sister, Flossie Knauer Woods. Also is at least one photo identified as Mr. and Mrs. J.H. Knauer. I believe this to be John Hutson Knauer and his wife (which one I don't know). The purchaser wishes to get this into the hands of family members. If you are interested and can tell me how you are related I will forward the information to you. Any dealings after that will be solely the interest of the purchaser and the seller.
Megan, I live outside of Chicago, but I have walked the grounds of the Deer Creek Baptist Cemetery. The Cemetery sits on the lawn of the Deer Creek Baptist Church. The Church is a white little church that was still having services years ago. There are also Deer Creek Baptist Church minutes that are stored on Micro-fish in Mormon records. I hope this helps. Maybe some one closer to Manhattan, IN can tell you how to get there.
