    3. I grew up in the Clinton Center School area from 1956 to 1963 went to the 1 to 8th grade there. There were Pelfreys (I think was the spelling) who lived down the road from us. We lived on same road as Clinton Center School and we and they also lived South of the school. My Dad b. 1919 also grew up knowing these boy's aunts and uncles who were in the same area in the 1930's, 1940's, etc. I just wondered if the same family line with a variation in spelling? The boys who went to school when I did (they were a little older than I) were Floyd & Doyle. I am sure my Dad would remember the parents names if someone needs to know. 3. Jeff, I am not researching the Peffleys but ran across a couple of them while researching a Priest line in Putnam Co., IN: David Peffley m. Mary Graybill Christina Peffley m. John Tague Judith Tague (1848-1934) was 2nd wife of John Franklin Avritt (1844-1938). Judith & John had no children. John's parents were Elisha A. Averitt (1815-1882) and Frances Catlett Priest (1818-aft. June 1860). There are many variations of how the Averitt surname is spelled, even people within the same line spell it differently. John's daughter Effie (or Effa) from his first marriage spells it Avitt. I think it started out as Averett. 3. Okay, Everyone that has requested copies of the book pages for the various surnames I made it to the library yesterday and have your copies made. HOWEVER, we have tried various ways to get these things past my virus protection and it's almost impossible. SO if you could privately email me at [email protected] and send me your snail mail address I will mail you these maps. Please put "land patent mail" in the subject line. I'm sorry about you having to wait for snail mail but all three of us have tried and can't get more than one or two past the protection daily. At that rate we could all be old and gray before I got three pages for each map group out over the airways. The following is the list of Surnames, and first names I have maps on so far. Please tell me which names you want in your email. If your surname is not listed it means your request came in after I left for the library and it will be either Wednesday or Thursday of next week before I can go back. Again, sorry for the delay. 3. Hi Lori, I have found several James Goodwin families throughout IN. But the James Goodwin I am looking for sold land in 1862 to an Etheldred Martin. This land was originally bought by Natheldred Godwin in 1838. You will find this in your book of maps or in the blm records (http://www.glorecords.blm.gov/). I believe these 3 men are somehow related. Do you know when or where your James Goodwin was born? So if you connect to this James Godwin let me know.
