My Grandfather was John Bernard Schall b. 1901, son of Albert Elsworth Schall and Loucynthia Cox Schall. I have no information on Pius Schall, however, I may be able to give you a little help in searching for more family information. Nicholas (Nickolas) Schall was born in Baden, province of Bavaria, (Germany) in 1709. He and family immigrated to Pennsylvania in 1752. At least one son moved to Jefferson County, Virginia around 1772 (now West Virginia). (Family name spelled "Scholl" in some texts). Some Schall family members moved to Seneca County, Ohio in 1822. (In Ohio it seems that brothers changed the family name spelling to their own liking, including Shall, Shaul, and Shaull.) Many Schalls stayed in Ohio, but John David Schall moved his family to Indiana sometime after 1850, and is buried in Rochester. His son, Albert Elsworth Schall, worked on farms near Medaryville, DeLong, Monterey, and is buried in South Bend. There were a lot of family members at the Schall family reunions, so I surmise Pius was related to this bunch.
