This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/3h.2ADI/580.2 Message Board Post: I have developed a large database of the people that worked on the Monon Railroad (known formally as the Chicago Indianapolis & Louisville for most of its life), for the years 1900 - 1971. Data (where available) includes names, nicknames, positions worked on the railroad, start and end dates, seniority dates, birth and death dates, and misc info. I can email copies of the database (it is in Excel) or I can look up information and report. I would also appreciate additional info that I can add to the database. Francesville was on the Monon's Michigan City branch, which was not a major part of the Monon after the depression. I am a member of the Monon Railroad Historical-Technical Society. Thanks.
Sure would like to see a copy of that database. Maybe I can add to it. Lots of my relatives from Monon. Do you have anything on JOHN HUNTER. He lived in Winamac, Indiana, which is between Chicago and Indianapolis. He was born in 1905 I believe and I don't know where. I do know he worked for a railroad. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
