    1. Burial Place of John HOFFMAN, d about 1872
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/3h.2ADI/976 Message Board Post: I am working on the genealogy of the HOFFMAN family. John Hoffman homesteaded near Monetery in 1844, later moved to Winamac where he had a hardware store. His sons continued the business at various times with Falvey, Vurpillat and Carroll. Family lore says he died July 4, 1872. I suspect that he is buried either in St. Peter's Cemetery in Winamac or in old ST. Ann's near Monetery., where at least some of his children are buried. His wife was Mary Ann Rothermel, of whom we know virtually nothing. Any help will be greatly appreciated. willing to share with other descendants. Thanks
