Depoy, 10)Marcum-Depoy monument, 11)Rachel Marcum, Then12) Hatta E (Dau of J.A. & C.J. Depoy) and then 2 Smiths (Bell and Walter) In Row 11 of the cemetery are Jacob A and Cyrena DePoy. I hope that helps with the spelling. I also checked the books as I couldn't remember the dats on the books and the Death and birth records are from 1885-1985. (These books only have dates and then the page number/book that you can find them in at the health department) Anything before that date you would need to check with the Health Department. Records for the county should start about 1839 and go on. Since the birth records started in 1885, I was unable to locate the parents you were wanting for Rachel. I hope this helps some, Mary

Its pretty impressive. Anyway, we have books that have a copy of birth/death records at the library from county records. The death records are 1880 (ish) to ?....I can't remember the exact years. Birth records are about the same time period. The cemetery stuff I got for you were from a index of the cemeteries in Pulaski County. It list each cemetery, then has everyone that is buried there until 1970, what it states on their stones, etc. There is 6 volumes and was completed by volunteers of the old genie society. Like I said, it only goes to 1970. Meanwhile, the library now has a "bone File" that you can look through, that lists anyone that was mentioned in the county papers in an obit, birth or marriage. Its pretty complete, but some very early obits are sometimes missed. If you ever get a chance to come to the area, you will be amazed at what is in the genie section,, Mary

I also wonder do they have the death records at your library if so how early do they start listing parental information? I know here in MI. it started fairly early. There is some question as to the parents of Rachel (Penny) Marcum and I just wondered if they might be present. I thank you for anything you can do to advance my research. If there is anything I can do for you please dont hesitate to ask. Sincerely Brett Berrien county MI.

Is there anyone out there who could do me the huge favor of looking up a marriage for me? I have a William Henry Ward II who was married to Hepsebeth Ellis. It was my understanding that William had only the one marriage but in 1880 he appears in Pulaski County with a wife named Mary who was too young to be the mother of William's children (I have so far been unable to locate the family in 1870). There appears to have been a second marriage that most likely occurred in Pulaski County, probably in the 1868-1872 time range. If someone could take a look at the marriage records and tell me if there was a marriage between my William Ward and a woman named Mary I would really appreciate it! Thanks in advance!
