    3. Joseph and Isidor Frey (brothers) migrated to Seneca County Ohio in early 1830's. Spelling of name in US as "Fry". They were cousins to the Becker Family migrating to Monterey, Indiana 1841. The Becker Family homestead was located on the river road near the Warren Cemetery. Other cousins were named Bogner (Borgner), Christ, - and lots of Keller cousins. Many of the early pioneers of Monterey later settled in Winamac, Logansport, etc. Many from Seneca County, Ohio came directly to Pulaski County Indiana. Married Mary ANN Hatfield in 1835 in OHIO. He died in 1874. She died in 1884. Both are buried in the Star City Cemetery in IN. Their children were Martha (my grandmother), Mariah, Johnson, Charles, James, John, Harrison, Mary Ann, Henry, Christopher, Elizabeth Ellen, Phoebe. All of the 12 children were living when Mary ANN died. Possible parent of Soloman's where Thomas born 1780 in England and Elizth born abt 1784 in England. Would like to know for sure. Brother: Johnston Lidgard.

After 1884, because she remarried John Franklin Ward in Hamilton Co., IN then. I have been to every county between Hamilton Co., IN and Pulaski Co., IN trying to locate her. I have followed her brothers, sisters, daughter, her husbands family and found nothing. Thank you for your help. It was much appreciated. Joyce

In my Indiana Marriage Index I found two marriages for Taylor B. Hicks. He married Alice Ballenger August 12, 1897 in Boone Co. IN. He married Isadore Martin July 4, 1908 in Montgomery Co. IN. Taylor was born May 21, 1865. Isadore was born March 12, 1856. You already have the 1910 census which shows Isadore's mother as Elizabeth Miller. 1920: Boone Co. IN Sugar Creek Twp. Taylor Sikes age 54, b. IN Father b. NC Mother b. VA Isadore P. age 67, b.IN Father b. Switzerland, Mother b. OH 1930: Boone Co. Thorntown Twp. Taylor B. Sikes, age 64, married at age 44, b. IN Caretaker Lawns, Father b. NC Mother b. WVA. Samuel E. Kincaid, Stepson, age 57 single b. IN Parents b. IN. No occupation. I went back to see if I could find what Martin Isadore married and found the 1880 census, Boone Co. IN Sugar Creek Twp. John Martin, age 32, b. OH Father b. PA Mother b. VA Isadore, age 24, wife, b. IN Parents b. OH Daniel C. age 8 son, b. IN Samuel, age 6, son, b. IN Ida, age 3 daughter, b. IN Willie age 5 mos. b. Jan. 1880 IN. I then went back to see if I could find Kincaid Isadore married. Found 1870 census, Boone Co. IN Sugar Creek Twp. Town of Elizaville. Samuel Kinkead (misp), age 25 farm laborer b. IN Isadore, age 21, b. IN (No children) Next door were Isadore's parents: Daniel Miller age 50 b. Switzerland Elizabeth, age 62 b. IN Carrie E. b. IN Amos D. b. IN Lottie, b. IN On the Montgomery Co. Site I found where Taylor B. Sikes is buried in Clouser Cemetery in Sugar Creek Township. Shows he was born 1876 and died 1942. (Crawfordsville Dist. Pub. Library. Also found on Montgomery Co. Site Isadore P. Sikes's obituary was in the Crawfordsville Journal Review 3 Apr 1939 Page 3, Col. 3 (Notes: Miller (maiden name). Also found on Montgomery Co. Site that Taylor B. Sikes' marriage was in the Crawfordsville Daily Journal 6 July 1908 Page 5 Col 6. Married Isadore Martin. Hope this helps you. Doris in Virginia
