You never know what you may find. I looked again under a variety of spellings, and did not locate him at all. I even checked our bone file of newspapers for obits in hope that they had one published when he passed away since he was originally from the area. There wasn't an obit. I looked in all 6 books of the cemeteries in the area and did not find him in any spelling. Sorry, he just isn't here. As for Rhoda at Kosta Cemetery. I found that, I believe, looking up her obit in the paper. It stated in there that she was buried at Kosta but the cemetery book for Kosta doesn't have her listed. This book was done from readings of the cemetery in 1977. Its possible that she doesnt have a stone anymore or that it was one of the ones not readable. In 1860 David was a minister of the United Brethren church age 56. Maria was also 56. Two sons John 25 and George 23 were living with them. I find no trace of David or Maria after the 1860 census. I believe Maria's maiden name was Hollenback. Is there a resource available that someone might check to see if they're buried in Van Buren Twp.? I would truly appreciate the help.
