According to 1886 History of Posey Co George Smith first married Lydia Tate and 5 years later moved to KY where she died. He then married Sarah Armstrong in 1810 and two years later moved to Posey Co. George is buried in Smith Cem, Smith Twp and Sarah (wife) 17 Dec 1784 - 24 June 1854 is adjacent. I believe there are other children. Smith Twp is named for George Smith.
