I am looking for information on the MURPHY and GWALTNEY families, early Posey county settlers. John Gwaltney was born in 1765 in North Carolina, and settled in Robb Township, Posey county where he was buried in 1819. His wife, Anne Murphy, was born 1771 in North Carolina and dies in 1827, also buried in Robb Township, Posey, IN. Anne's parents were Thomas Murphy and Adah Rice. They were married 8/12/1789 in Craven Co., NC. If anyone knows of these families or of the early Robb Township history, I'd love to hear from you. Sincerely...Justine Bradford
