She was his first wife. J. W. Gammon was brother to Payton Gammon, both sons of Elder John H. Gammon, minister of the Regular Baptist Church. J. H. had churches in IN and KY. My husband descends from Payton Gammon. I do not have much on Barthena. I live in Fl. and long distance research is sometimes very difficult. There is a fabulous website "Marsha's Warrick Web" that gives indexes for births, deaths and such in Warrick Co., IN. Thanks for the info that you provided, I did not have her parents names. Deborah
