How about some time lines ? MAJORITY of the Rister lines ended up in White Co Ill. My grandmother was Bertha Mae Rister d/o Job Calvin Rister s/o Abraham Rister s/o Harmon Rister s/o God Knows Who. Our brick wall, more like a trench since we all fall into it so much, is Harmon/Christopher/Jacob Rister who appear to be 3 brothers. Fight about the bloodline here tho. They are supposed to have been 3 Cherokee brothers that were Christianized by the Maryland Reister family as they traveled west. LOTS of arguement on that part of it. POSSIBLE that one of them really WAS a Reister that stayed I suppose. Not much known about Harmon in Posey. Got married, got into a fight, left, moved to Wayne Co Ill. died there c1840.
